Yangqi Deng works with mixed media, including video, photography, and installation. Using factual and fictional elements, she is exploring possible connections among unrelated and unusual events in playful ways. In her work, she seeks to create non-linear visual narrative structures. Her current interest is how nature documentaries are fiction.
She is currently pursuing an MFA in Digital+Media at the Rhode Island School of Design after receiving her BFA in Digital Media Arts from the Art College of Xiamen University in China.
